Director of Music Ministry.

Timothy’s Anglican Church, North Vancouver

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for directing music and playing the keyboard or other musical instruments, on Sundays, and other special services and functions (Christmas, Good Friday)

POSITION DUTIES:
Lead music ministry on Sunday Mornings (playing keyboard/piano and directing the choir)
Further develop the adult choir and possible future child/youth choirs
Special Choral work for Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter
Work with Minister to create a purposeful worship atmosphere

BACKROUND AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Musical training in Piano/Organ to an undergraduate level or demonstrated equivalent proficiency.
Experience with Anglican liturgy an asset.

PERSONAL STRENGTHS AND ABILITIES:
The successful candidate will be a Christian with a love for Christ and a passion for the place of music in church worship.

The successful candidate will be competent to play both traditional hymns and contemporary worship on a variety of instruments, including keyboard.
